I honestly love how there’s this collectively created mythos based on Hugo’s les amis, I mean it’s really quite astonishing how much in the les (a)mis fandom is founded entirely in fanon and yet somehow there’s still a sense of cohesiveness to it.

As I said it’s a mythos in a way, full of different portrayals and stories that inspire and contradict each other and I know that’s generally how it goes in fandom but the extent to which this is the case in the les amis-focused part of the les mis fandom is kind of mindblowing, because let’s be real, for many of us it’s much less about les mis and much more about this shared mythos that has been and is continously created.
