Jehan was very close to his rather bohemian grandmother. she had an African Grey parrot that Jehan adored, and his grandmother made sure to leave the parrot to Jehan in her will.
one whole room of Jehan’s house/apartment is set up as a birdie paradise, but the bird is usually with Jehan when Jehan is home.
Jehan has fallen into the habit of talking to and with the bird while he’s doing housework or working from home.
sometimes Jehan forgets the bird isn’t with him all the time and so he’ll be at the Musain by himself, chatting away to a bird that isn’t there.
