Again the smile or snarl from his Master. “You were a traitor, were you not, Lord Vader?”
Vader’s breathing caught on the hook of sudden anger. “What did you say?”
“To the Jedi. To Padmé. To Obi-Wan. To all those you loved.”
His Master turned to look at him, his eyes reflecting the flames.
Vader didn’t know the answer his Master wanted to hear, so he simply answered the truth. “Yes”.

A long time ago…
Han is all “there’s to much Vader in him,” without mentioning that there is too much Vader in Leia too.
Like, Bail Organa, bless his poor poor soul, tried to politician the Vader out of her. He tried SO FUCKING HARD.
But the fact that she abandoned politics to be a General in the Resistance says a lot about her similarities to Anakin Skywalker.
See, people get it wrong. They assume because Luke got the blond hair and the lightsaber that he is Anakin’s child. He’s not. He’s Padme’s.
Leia, though. Leia is very much Anakin’s child. She is the one with the deep anger in her. She is the one who will bring
peace to her new empirefreedom and justice back to the galaxy whether the galaxy wants it or not. She is the one who commands armies and amasses followers as easy as breathing. She joined the Rebellion while she was in her teens. She is the one with the spirit of a warrior.
Don’t get me wrong; Bail Organa did his damnedest to raise her in the mold of her mother, fighting her battles in the halls of power with words as her weapons. And she was very good at it. But unlike Padme, Leia’s words always had an edge to them, her tone and meaning always a little too sharp, a little too angry.
Peace and mercy are the trademarks of Luke and Padme. Justice and order, obtained by whatever means necessary, are the marks of Leia and Anakin.
How the throne room scene actually should’ve gone:
“If you will not turn to the Dark Side, perhaps she will.”
“Pffffthahahahaha yeah, okay Dad, let me know how that turns out. Look, the reason I’m here instead of her is because I want you alive and not a cloud of vaporized plastic. You know she strangled Jabba the Hutt with the chain he put around her neck, right? That’s what she does to people who try to control her. Better tell your Emperor you’re not allowed to have any more ideas.”
#this is so true it’s beautiful#I bet Vader almost felt glad every time Luke turned up with the lightsaber when they faced off#Vader was like ‘Oh thank the Force it’s the nice one that got the lightsaber skills’
Remember when Anakin cut his son’s hand off and then immediately asked him if they could be pals as if he hadn’t just cut his son’s hand off?
Anakin’s like, “I lost four limbs… I’m not sure why he’s so upset?”
“Son, back in my day you had to crawl uphill out of a volcano when you lost a limb, you kids have it so easy.”
“goddamn entitled space millennials. why are you crying, was that your selfie hand, wuss?”

A (probably unsuccessful) long-term attempt to gif every DVD I own: 9 of ?
So I’m picturing Leia getting escorted from her cell for reasons unknown to her, Darth Vader a step behind her, and she’s trying to figure out what’s happening, and then after a few very lengthy elevator rides she round the corner and sees…
this bitch and she just powerwalks to Tarkin, and Vader’s like, wait what, and Leia is honestly excited because here’s a person she knows and hates, and she’s like, “what should I insult? His hair? His family? His personal habits? Can I insult Vader at the same time?” and then doesn’t flinch when Vader bumps her shoulder like “What the hell, Organa,” but just continues with her lil’ diatribe.
“The Darth Vader scenes were the last day of filming — we saved the best for last. Everyone from the crew and the production office came out to bear witness and see Vader again. As I walked past people I knew and was friends with, I watched their reactions. It was phenomenal: There was awe and excitement in their eyes, but there was also a certain level of respect that needed to be paid, and a tinge of fear. As I walked by, they would gasp, and then they would lower their heads and take a couple of steps back-as you would if Vader was passing.”
