Les Mis Scarves, Feuilly: Update

Misplaced my boat shuttle, so it took me a bit longer to get this started than I’d originally planned, but here’s two full pattern repeats.  (That equates to ~15 inches for this pattern.)  I’m planning 9 repeats which should get me to just shy of 6 feet.

(BTW, If any of you are of the masculine persuasion or have someone in your life who is, and can confirm that that’s an appropriate length, I’d be grateful.  ^_^  A brief search told me 60-70″ is an average length for a man’s scarf – but since I wear my own scarves closer to 108-120″…  *shrugs*  That just seems awfully short to me?  O_o;;;)

More to come as I make progress!  ^_^

Little update… the scarf is done!
I’ve just finished washing it, so I’ll post better pictures once it’s done blocking/drying, but in the meantime…  have a preview?

I haven’t done one of these in a while and I saw @takethewatch do it a few days ago and thought I’d jump on the bandwagon.  ^_^  She did 9, but I was having trouble even narrowing it to 10, so I stopped trying.  As a side note, it amuses me to no end how many of these are from my favorite arboretum.  *snerts*

(Also, if you look closely, I snuck the scarf in there that I just finished.  ^_~  It’s being washed at the moment and once it’s done blocking/drying, I’ll post real pictures.  So, sometime tomorrow, maybe?)

Anyone who would like to do it, too, feel free to @ me so I can see yours!  ^_^)

So, after a catastrophic warping failure earlier that took me OVER AN HOUR TO SORT OUT and a drastic mood drop about an hour ago that came out of nowhere, I somehow still managed to get my loom warped.  *falls over*  I really hope the others don’t give me that much trouble or half the cast will be getting IOUs.  O_o;;;

Anyway, more to come as I get the scarf started.  ^_^  (And for anyone curious, this pattern is the one in the middle in the top picture.)

Feuilly scarf: half warped

Always best to get started on these things when one is already motivated. 😉

Also, now that my room is clean and I have a new shelving unit that’s sturdy enough and has a shelf about the right height, I can warp up in my room WHERE THE AIR CONDITIONER IS. *happy dance* Of course, the problem still remains that everything is still too short and thus my back is highly displeased, but at least I can sit and rest after every few warp threads. 😛
