Of all the mementos Marius could have kept after the barricades it was Javert’s pistols.

At least he doesn’t go around sniffing them (at least I hope not)

I  mean he might also have dropped the pistols? It’s not like he was in any condition to keep track of his personal effects when he left the barricade

(and we never do find out what happened to the cravat Courfeyrac used to bandage Marius up )

I mean, I think Marius won the loot exchange anyhow, having presumably gotten a lot more use out of the pistols than Javert did out of the keys.
