- adhd and add were combined under the DSM IV, and are now:
- adhd inattentive type
- adhd hyperactive type
- adhd combined type
- the brain matures in a normal pattern but is delayed three years in some regions
- adhd is a neurodevelopmental disorder, not a behavioral disorder
- emotions are felt more intensely
- adhd makes it hard to deal with these emotions
- there’s no such thing as “outgrowing” adhd
- girls are underdiagnosed
