Pfft. OMG. So, I’m transcribing this interview and I’m looking at the computer generated transcription (which is awful, by the by), and in the middle of a totally innocuous answer, all of a sudden…
“…so I threw a chair.”
(I have since realized that someone was on the phone in the background of the recording, and the computer must have picked some of that up. But now I desperately want to know why someone was talking about throwing chairs! XD)
IT HAS TAKEN ME OVER AN HOUR TO TRANSCRIBE 9 MINUTES OF THIS 44 MINUTE INTERVIEW. AT THIS RATE I’LL BE AT IT FOR FOUR MORE HOURS. *sobs inconsolably*
Lol I transcribed 20~ hours of interviews with terminally depressed mental health patients for my undergrad degree. It’s easier if you have a pedal to stop/start/rewind the recording without having to take your hands off the keyboard?
OMG, THAT SOUNDS LIKE PURE TORTURE. D: But, yes, that DOES sound like a super useful thing to have! Unfortunately, I don’t have such a pedal. *sigh*
